The Easter Bunny brought Joe some practice golf balls this year. And, as is almost always the case with my boys, the enjoyment of a sport is in direct proportion to the amount gear required. So first, we had to get out the "golf" shoes. (This was actually my ploy to make my 10 year old believe that wearing saddle shoes to church is cool... "See Joe, these shoes look like golf shoes...won't they be great?") And then of course, they needed the hats. Apparently in their minds, golf apparel hasn't advanced much since the 1940's. Maybe Grandpa Steve could enlighten them a bit about that next time we see him.

I was wondering how you got Joe to wear the saddle shoes. I don't think Henry would have done that. So I was jealous that you had Joe dresses so cool! Very cute hats!
Cute pics- I love the shoes and the hats. If Kyle would keep a hat on for more than a minute I would totally put him in one.
I LOVE the hats! When I see your boys, I wish I had at least one to dress like a little man. Girls are fun to dress though too!
Have a good trip! Unfortunately I may still be pregnant when you get back- my doctor decided not to go out of town and therefore cancelled my induction! The nerve! Now we just wait I guess?! Argg! If it would help Kate out, I would be more than happy to do the Tiny Tiger run as it seems I won't be having a baby this week. Let me know if that would help!
I love the saddle shoes. My boys (ahem!) wore several pairs...but in the 70's they actually were more popular, and not just for golf.
Papa Joe would be proud of the golfers.
